YB -12 prefabricated substation("box-type substation" for short) is a compact whole set of power distribution device that HV Switchgear, power distribution Transformer, LV switchgear, electric energy measuring equipment and reactive supplementary device,ect. are combined into a or several boxes as per certain wiring scheme. It is applied in the three-phase AC system with the rated voltage of 12/0.4kV for receiving and distributing the electric energy. It is applied in the sites such as factory, mine, oilfield, port, airport, urban public building, residence community, highway and underground facilities, ect.

Structual Characteristics
   1. The box has two structures. One structure is the helmet frame welding type(rectangular layout),i.e., welding the skeleton with the structural steel at first, and then riveting or welding the panel. In this ring net power supply scheme, the HV chamber is wide, convenient for realizing the wiring of ring net or dual power supply. The other one is assembled type without skeleton(pyramided  layout). The surface treatment is made after the steel plate is bent and it is assembled by bolt connection finally. The feature of the rectangular layout is expanding the LV outgoing-line unit. 6 LV cabinets can be placed and there are 8-12 circuit for outgoing lines. As per the user's requirements, the operation aisle and duty room can be also set in the box-type substation.

   2. Good thermal insulation and ventilation measures. The double-layer structures ventilating vertically are around the box, and the thermal insulation materials are also set in the interplayer at the top of box, effectively reducing the indoor temperature rise caused by sunlight. Automatic ventilators are installed at the bottom and top of the transformer cubicle, and blind windows are set at the side or upper part of door, guaranteeing the safety operation in high-temperature seasons.

   3. Safe and reliable operation. HXGN -10 ring net switchgear(equipped with FN -12 load switch internally) or Other HV Ring Main Unit is used at the HV side of box-type substation. The five-prevention interlock is complete. Good water-proof structure is used for each door frame.

   4. Convenient operation and maintenance. Each cubicle is provided with automatic lighting devices; the transformer cubicle is equipped with rail and handcart, easy for installation, maintenance and replacement of transformer; both HV and LV cubicles are front wiring and front maintenance.

   5. Good-looking appearance and durability. The box shell is made from high-performance composite materials for ship or glass fiber reinforced special non-metal materials. The anti-corrosion performance is good and the surface color can be configured at will as the environment; the mounting beam of each electrical device is galvanized and a anti-blocking and anti-rust general lock is used as the door lock.
